From time-to-time I offer a Visioning for your
book. Although there is much to be gained by joining a group for a
Visioning, it's certainly possible to do one just for yourself.
Visioning is a meditative way of bringing the
Universal Mind/Sprit/God at your center as you create your project, or
even your whole life into the perfection it deserves.
This process begins by getting centered and quiet, then moving into the silence,
surrounded in love and creativity. The intention is to open to the in-flow of Spirit as information.
Visioning is different from visualization because you're allowing Spirit to
inform you, rather than telling God what you want.
There are six questions – the exact wording doesn’t matter. You can substitute
or change in any way you want.
Visioning takes place in two or three parts. If you’re working alone, it will be
two parts. If you’re working in a group, it will be three
The first time through the questions, you simply listen to each question, with
closed eyes if you’re comfortable, and see what comes up. You might get a
picture, or remember a song or other sound. You might sense a fragrance. You
might get a word or even a sentence. Or, nothing may come up in the moment –
that’s okay too.
The second time through the questions, you work with pencil and
paper, making brief notes about your experience the first time through
and any thing else that comes up.
If you’re Visioning in a group, you’ll usually have an opportunity to share your
Vision with the other participants.
Here are the questions I use for Visioning Your Book:
What is Spirit's
Highest Vision/Ideal your book?
What idea, thought,
behavior, do I need to release in order to empower this Vision your
book?
What gets embraced
and accepted in order to empower the Vision your book?
In what way/s do you
grow, deepen or expand, as this Vision reveals itself?
What, exactly, are
you willing to commit to and give right now in order for this Vision
to manifest?
What other
information wants to be revealed or understood in this moment about
your book.
Once you complete this process, take a few moments just to be. Get
outdoors if you can. When you come back to your book, you're likely to
find you're much clearer on exactly what you want to create.
